Apparently the pole gods (and goddesses?) were listening... because today I got the twisted grip! Of course, since I just mentioned a couple of posts ago that I didn't have it, you had to know that it wouldn't be long.
Well, here is proof!
It's a great ending to an exhausting week. I ended up doing pole every day! Workshop Monday, class Tuesday, home practice Wednesday, class Thursday, class Friday. Normally I only go twice! I have a really impressive collection of bruises, scrapes and sore spots. Fortunately, my efforts paid off.
It's tempting to get a new trick and then practice it over and over again. But I know that if I wait at least a day or two and then try it again, I will be stronger and have better form. That kind of repetition, especially with something new, can lead to injury. So for now, it's best to just rest my aching body.
As my classmate Jaime said, now I have an excuse to be lazy this weekend! I might just lay around and eat bon-bons.
